(24 jun. 1888, Utrecht, Países Bajos–25 jun. 1964, Utrecht).
Arquitecto y diseñador de muebles holandés. Fue aprendiz en el negocio de ebanistería de su padre (1899–1906) y más tarde estudió arquitectura en Utrecht. En 1918 creó su famoso sillón rojo y azul, el cual, con su énfasis en la geometría y uso de los colores primarios, se transformó en símbolo De
Stijl. Su obra maestra es la casa Schroeder en Utrecht (
1924), famosa por el contrapunto de formas con ángulos rectos, planos y líneas, y por el uso de los colores primarios.
